Minimally Invasive Procedures

Advanced Pain Relief with Minimal Downtime

For many patients suffering from chronic pain after an injury, minimally invasive procedures offer a powerful solution without the risks and long recovery times of traditional surgery.

These advanced treatments are designed to target the precise source of your pain—such as an irritated nerve or an inflamed facet joint—using sophisticated techniques under X-ray guidance. Procedures like Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) and Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials can provide significant, long-lasting pain relief, helping you regain function and improve your quality of life.

At Private Practice, Dr. Kraft is highly experienced in these techniques, developing tailored treatment plans that prioritize both effective pain relief and your overall well-being.

  • An effective alternative for managing chronic pain and potentially delaying or avoiding more invasive operations.
  • With minimal tissue disruption, patients typically resume normal activities much faster than with surgical interventions.

A Targeted Approach to Healing

By addressing the specific nerves or joints causing pain, we can provide more effective and lasting relief than generalized treatments.

Spinal Cord Stimulator Trial

A spinal cord stimulator (SCS) trial is a short-term test to see if spinal cord stimulation can help reduce your chronic pain. An SCS system uses thin wires (leads) placed near the spinal cord to deliver small electrical impulses. These impulses change how pain signals are sent to the brain, often replacing pain with a mild tingling sensation (called paresthesia) or reducing the pain without any tingling.

Radiofrequency Ablation

The procedure uses heat generated by radio waves to target specific nerves that carry pain signals from the spine. By disrupting these nerves, pain signals are reduced or stopped.
